It seems that I should change my resolution. From today, I will blog in English and Japanese “hopefully” EVERY OTHER DAY. Please tell me how to keep resolutions if you are good at that. 

Now I am composing a piano piece which is a final project of Harmony class. It is tougher than I though and takes longer than I thought. The deadline is tomorrow. I have Harmony final exam tomorrow also. And that’s it. I will be done with this semester. Time is flying. About 4-month length, this spring semester was. It was really really fun for me. met a lot of new people, made so good friends who are very important for me. This 4 month was so significant.

I didn’t post anything yesterday…again. Am I not able to keep my resolution? :/ Meh, doesn’t matter. Anyway, today I have jury exam for Applied Music. I’m presenting my string quartet piece I finished in Apr, and art song I’m working on. The art song will consist 4 songs. I’m presenting the first song of them I finished its draft. Those texts are from “百人一首” -The One Hundred Tanka Poems by One Hundred Celebrated Poets. I chose the poems as a theme of the moon. The first one is: “夏の夜は まだ宵ながら 明けぬるを 雲のいづこに 月宿るらむ”. I tried to translate into English. “On a short summer night, the day dawned while taking it for an evening, wondering where in the clouds is the moon, hasn’t time to hide in the mountains.”

I chose male voice, flute, acoustic guitar, marimba and cello for this song. It is a little hard to figure out what you can do with a guitar, but it is interesting and fun. I’m planning to finish 4 songs during summer.

Do you know a word “三日坊主(Mikka bouzu)”? Mikka bouzu is a word for those people who are not able to stick to anything, to keep their resolution, by the meaning of exact word “三日(three days)” longer than a day or two. Yesterday was the third day since I made the resolution to keep posting English blog entry “hopefully” everyday, and I missed it. HAHAHA!  Let me give an excuse for this. Yesterday, I had two final exam, Musicianship III in-class exam and Orchestration final exam. Actually, both of them went pretty well. I think I’m getting good grades. Anyway, I know that it was not impossible to keep the resolution, but I also know that it is better not to be too strict to stick the thing. That’s why I siad “hopefully”. Anyway, what I want to say is that I’m not a “三日坊主”, hopefully…

Yesterday, I decided to post a blog entry in English and Japanese hopefully everyday. Even while it’s just the 2nd day, I can’t think of what to write. haha. I think this kind of thing is hard because of this issue. I am curious how people like me, who are learning a foreign language and trying to write jornal everyday, keep writing to improve their skill of language. I think there are many people trying to do the same thing and having the same problem. So I googled it and found that there are many people trying to keep posting blog entries not only to study language but also just to keep blogging. I found plenty ideas to keep blogging. Let me pick up one. “Rondam topic generator” provides rondam topic automatically. You just choose category and click a “generat topic” button. Then you’ll get a topic to write. super easy. I don’t want to use this as possible I can, but when I can’t find any topic, I would use this generator.

It’s been a long time since the last blog entry. I’ve been busy and lazy. Spring semester is ending soon. Coming week is Final exam week. have a lot of things to be done. composing, programing MIDI performance, reviewing orchestration class…

Anyway, I feel like that I’ve stopped improving my English for a while. From today, I will keep posting new entries in English and Japanese, hopefully everyday, to improve my English. I still have a difficulty to say what I think, to explain my opinion, to express my feeling. I always have much much more things what I want to say, than I’m saying. It is frustrating. I want to communicate with my friends, much more smoothly. I do want to resolve this issue by beginning of the next semester, as possible I can.

It would be cool if you could correct my English –words, grammar, pronunciation– when I talk weirdly. BTW, if you want to learn Japanese, it would be good to read my English-and-Japanese journal. haha. please cheer me by posting comments.

先日Macbook分解掃除をしましたが、やはりCPU温度上昇の根本的解決には至らず、直後なんとなく清々しい気持ちだったのもさっさと消え失せ、どうにかせねばという気持ちでおりました。そんなおり、とうとうFanからすさまじい音がしたので、Fanを置換することにいたしました。と思ったけど、すさまじい音も1回10秒くらい鳴ってからは元通りだし、Fan君6000rpmくらい普通にまわるし、空気はちゃんと吸い込まれて排出されているので、この異常な熱は他に原因があるはずと色々考えた結果、CPUのシリコングリスを塗り直してみようと思い立ったのは先週。Thermal greaseとついでに新しいFan（いや、絶対変えた方がいいｗ）を注文したのがおととい届いたので、時間があった今日再び分解、Fan置換、シリコングリスの塗り直しに挑戦しました。

ようやく金曜日。今までは休みだった金曜日もApplied MusicのMaster classが入ったので休みでなくなりました。が、自分がプレゼンする番じゃなければ、基本座って聞いてるだけなので気楽なもんです。ということで、ようやく今週も終わったという感じ。今週は長かった。昨日はいつもよくしてくれてる作曲専攻のLuisがSFのConservatoryに合格したというニュースでとても幸せな気分になった。けど、来季からいなくなると思うと寂しいなぁ。さて今日はputを使った句動詞。

今日はプライベートレッスンの初日です。週末に作った1ページのinventionと作りかけのString Quartet、前作った合唱曲とString Quartetを持ってって、これからどうしたいのかとか、そういう話をしっかりしようと思う。

さて、今日はtakeを使った句動詞。

最近、朝学と称して日常のたわいもない報告を含んだ日記を兼ね始めましたがお気になさらず。最近はたくさんの宿題に追い回されてる感じです。あとは、作曲するのに殆どの時間を使ってますね。いい感じです。

さて、今日はturnを使った句動詞。

ルームメイトにGuacamoleの作り方を教えてもらった。とりあえず、ワカモレとはなんぞということをここで説明するためにWikipediaを参照したら、作り方をここで説明する必要もなくなるような内容だった。
