最近ファンが若干変な音するし、負荷が上がると同時に凄い勢いでCPUの温度も上がるし、本格的に壊れてもらったらとてもとても困るので、その前にとMacbookを分解掃除しました。下手にやって逆に壊してしまったら嫌だなぁと少しナーバスだったんですが、やったら意外と簡単でしたよ。このページを参考に、慎重に慎重に遂行しました。

Google Buzz、みなさん試しに使ってみてますか？とりあえず、面白がってコメントしたものの、その後どんどんGmailのinboxにBuzzが流れてくるのが鬱陶しいと思っている人も沢山いるんじゃないでしょうか。いちいちMuteするのも面倒ですよね。デフォルトでMute選べたらいいんですけど。けど、自分のBuzzへのコメントは見ておきたいかもしれません。そんな方はうまいことフィルターを設定しましょう。

Envelopeと言われると、音色の立ち上がりの速さ、アタックレベル、アタックからサスティーンまで移行する時間、サスティーンレベル、リリースタイム、といったパラメーターを真っ先に思い浮かべます。そうじゃなくて、封筒の話。Envelopeとは封筒のことです。

さて、自転車に乗るからには交通ルールについて知っておかなければいけません。カリフォルニアでの交通に関するルールや情報はDMVのサイトで見ることができます。DMVとはDepartment of Motor Vehiclesの略。所々手続きもここでやります。自転車のルールやらはここ。なにやら色々リンクがあって全部読むのはちょっと面倒だったので、Driver’s handbookのBikeセクションをしっかり読んで、あとは流し読みしました。さてさっそく余談。日本語でのバイクは、英語ではmotorcycleとかmotor bikeと言います。bikeと言うと通常自転車の事をさすようです。バイクの事を指すこともあるみたいですが。さて、話がそれましたが、Californiaでbikeに乗る際のルールをまとめておきましょう。

I intended to save money by using the technic I wrote yesterday. But T-mobile don’t allow you to contract data only plan without Social Security Number. I didn’t know that. Actually, T-mobile website says “If you do not wish to provide your Social Security number, you may purchase your phone in one of our T-Mobile retail stores.” so I though I could buy SIM card with data only plan in T-mobile store. But I couldn’t.

I learned this technic from LifeHacker’s article: How a $530 Nexus One Might Actually Make Sense. But I think you can save more money.

I wrote the article introducing how to use SIMBL with 64bit Safari before. Now new SIMBL, which is compatible with 64bit, has been released as beta version(0.9.1b). You never have to load SIMBL as web-plugin as this article.

PS(2009/9/8): with 0.9.1b, once you restart computer, SIMBL is not loaded automatically. Just after installation it is. This problem has been solved with 0.9.2b. It’s also available at here.

canberlandの日記:SafariSIMBL (SIMBL for Safari 64bit)経由。特に難しいことは何もない。作者様に感謝。WebPluginとして呼び出すので、特定のHTMLファイルを起動の度に読み込まなければいけないのだけれど、Gmailなど、普段常駐するWebアプリだけで動作するようにGreaseKitかなんかで組んでしまえば大丈夫だろう。あとで作ろっと。ちなみに、SIMBLプラグイン自体が64bitに対応している必要がある。Safari Standはまだだ。GreaseKitとかSafariGestureとかいけるよ。

32bitで我慢して使おうと思ってたけど、Ctrl+Cmd+dで呼び出せる辞書アプリを使ったらしょちゅう暴走するし、他でも同じ現象があったので、これはCocoaでも32bitアプリから辞書は呼び出さない方が良さそうだと判断し、どうしてもSafariを64bitで使いたかった。それになぜか、32bitでSafariを動かしているとGmailが動作しなかった。これは致命的。原因不明。俺の環境だけかなぁ？
